I co-wrote a play centered around a middle-aged female superhero. Super Ma’am! premiered with a sold out run at the Big Idea Theatre 2023 One Act Festival, where it also won “BEST SCRIPT”!
My name is Philomena Block, but most people call me Phil. I am a queer biracial artist originally from Santa Cruz, CA. I love theatre, comedy, puppets and staring at the ocean. I studied Musical Theatre and Psychology at CSU Chico, and have worked throughout the state as a professional actor, creative teacher and marketing professional. I’m currently based in Los Angeles, where you can see me do sketch comedy on Kissyface every 2nd Sunday at The Pack Theater. I’m a proud ensemble member of the arts-advocacy group In The Margin. AND, most importantly, I am a Cancer Sun/ Pisces Moon/ Libra Rising.
